Sarah Jane Smith

Species: Plucky | Birthday: 19th of May 1951 |
Home City/Town: South Croyden | Home Planet: Sol 3 |
Time of Origin: Tea | Occupation: Journalist |

Appearance
Eye Color: Dark Hazel | Hair Color: Dark Brown |
Height/Build: 5'4" and skinny/fit | Face-Claim: Elisabeth Sladen |
Her face is quite expressive, ready to pout, scowl, give the slightest of grins, or smile like sunshine. She has the most straight, even teeth to be found in 20th century Britain. Sarah Jane's fashion sense may be questionable, but it is almost always flamboyant and definitely well fitted. Her eyebrows are always asking questions or giving opinions in equal measure. Sarah Jane is not a classic beauty, but she is unexpectedly beautiful. Her pale skin is flawless.
What really defines her is her mouth though. Her lips are not voluptuous, but their line can hold no lies. Her jaw, dropped, locked, or laughing leaves nothing to imagine, nor the cant of her head which will cue you to exactly where you stand with her.
Her eyes will tell you when she is afraid, opening wide to take it all in. It seems only then can someone see much past her heavy dark lashes to show her eyes are not dark brown, but deepest hazel.

Personality
Likes: Mystery, Travel, Coffee, Typewriters, and The Doctor | Dislikes: Heights, Bug Eyed Monsters, Cruelty, Guns, and losing track of The Doctor |
Sarah Jane knows that she wants to learn how to do things without using a gun. The Doctor is her teacher. And she has every intention of teaching him to stop looking at the big picture so much and be a bit nicer. Improve his bedside manner, so to speak. Even though they are both learning, she loves what they are doing. She might like trouble even more than she likes a quiet day at the beach. She wants to make change. In the greater Universe, and right back at home on Earth. Her hopes for Earth lean towards equality for woman, and people hurting each other less.
History
Parents: Her Parents are Eddy and Barbara Smith. She was raised by her Aunt Lavinia who was a very successful scientist. | Siblings: She has no brothers and sisters because she was first born, and her parents died when she was a baby. |
Others: The Doctor and the Brigadier watch over as does Mike Yates | Pets: Harry Sullivan |
Character History: She gets her bravery and quick thinking from her mother. She gets her rebellious spirit and drive towards Women's Lib from her Aunt Lavinia who broke the mold. Shamelessly, she snuck into the TARDIS before she had any idea what it was, trying to figure out just Who the Third Doctor was. He became like a father to her, taking her everywhere and anywhere, showing her how grand and how terrifying the Universe could be. She loved him deeply and stayed by his side even when he died.
That is when she met the Fourth Doctor for whom she had a different sort of love. It was with him that she saw even more; accomplished more, hurt more, and had more fun than you can imagine. It was this Doctor who became her best friend. At his side she's done everything from strangling a Dalek with her bare hands, to teaching a Queen how to be a Queen.
When Sarah Jane returned to Earth, she continued to do what she'd always done with the Doctor. Try to change things for the better. Only now, she travels in a yellow VW bug not a TARDIS, and she has to run without holding hands. She started P3, an Exposé on the best and worst of humanity. Not to mention the odd Alien. Speaking of which, the Doctor sent her a dog once . . .and it saved her life many a time.

Other Characters?: All the Doctors were Characters indeed. Sarah Jane, however, is just one. | Anything Else: Sarah Jane is thankful for every other person to be companion to the Doctor. He needs to have one, always. The Universe depends on it, and it's not an easy job. |
Sarah Jane ran for her life. For both their lives, and maybe even life itself on Earth. Her galoshes squeaked and flopped through mud, and rain poured down her face, but nothing was going to stop her. Well, except perhaps the rather ugly bug of an alien chasing her. Her breath was cold in her throat, but neither would that slow her, nor the stitch in her side. She really hated the buggy ones. On her back, heavy in the pack she wore was some darn thing-a-magig that the Doctor sent her to the TARDIS to get.
Don't fall down, Sarah Jane Smith, don't you dare, she admonished herself as one of her running feet bobbled on it's track threateningly. There is no Doctor here to throw you up into a tree. Well, her friend could not have guessed how quickly the Alien could have gotten out of the rock fall to come looking for her. Otherwise he wouldn't have sent her. However, here she was now and with a job to do.
To her delight and surprise, she made it back to the bunker. Jamming the big key into the lock, she let herself in and slammed the heavy door shut and locked behind her, leaning her back on it as she panted. There was her friend, hard at work with his own job in this strange adventure. A smile of pride for them both came bright and quick.
"I've got it! Are you ready?"
