The Eleventh Doctor
Basics
Nickname(s): I'm the Doctor. Just the Doctor. | Age: About 1200 years. Unless I'm lying. When you travel the universe you forget how old you are. |
Species: Timelord. I'm the last of the Timelords. | Birthday: You travel for so long that you begin to forget when you were born. Emphasis on the 'when' because traveling through Time messes up the biological clock. Anyway I don't think humans and my people have the same calendars. All races have different calendars. |
Home City/Town: I haven't settles down. Never plan to. I've can't sit still long enough to do so anyway. | Home Planet: I was born on the planet Gallifrey but that's gone now. And all the people on it. The T.A.R.D.I.S is my home now. |
Time of Origin: That's tricky. Very tricky. All Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimy because I've been around for 1200 years but I have ten past selves who also lived their own lives. Regeneration is difficult to explain when it comes to Times of Origin. | Occupation: I wander the Universe, doing what I always do. What's the human term... nomad! That's it! |
Sexuality: I don't really have a preference. I've married several kings before, been in relationship and whatnot. Putting a label on these kind of things - very human. | Played by: Starling! |
Appearance
Eye Color: Blue/Grey/Green | Hair Color: Brown |
Height/Build: 5'11" Skinny, but not too skinny. | Face-Claim: Matt Smith |
First thing you should know is that I wear bowties - bowties are cool! At least they are since I started wearing them. That aside, I stand at 5'11" and not too short but certainly shorter than many of my previous regenerations. Unfortunately, still not ginger but I do have a mop of brown hair that I actually started keeping neater ever since Amy called me 'raggedy man' one too many times. I've been told that I dress like a tweedy professor of some kind. I'm not entirely sure what that means but I do wear a brown-creme jacket and matching pants. Under that jacket I wear... a blue/white long-sleeved shirt. Oh yes! Almost forgot. Inside that jacket is a small pocket to store my sonic screwdriver. It's a lot easier and look better when I can pull it out of nowhere then fumbling in my pockets to try and find it.
Personality
Likes: Fish Fingers in Custard, Bowties (very cool), Fezzes, Traveling around and running. I do a lot of that, running. | Dislikes: Not a fan of apples, porridge, yogurt or crash landing. Unfortunately I tend to crash more often than I would like. Also hate not knowing. I'm a time traveler, I get around and someone seeing you get it wrong it just embarrassing. |
As always I am impulsive and unpredictable. Although I don't steer away from crowds per say, I have been known to be socially awkward - human have such a unique culture it's hard to find a place in it after all. As many would say, I'm always on the lookout for a good adventure. I also have a nasty - would you call it a habit? - of always talking with my hands as well as acting like a child. I'm good at that. Oh and using childish phrases and have a unique way of explaining things. Oh and I ramble. Did I mention that I ramble? I do you know. Sometimes I can also have a nice taste for dramatic flare because - as some humans say - 'go big or go home'.
Everyone has their fears - me included. I tend to be afraid of losing people. It's not being alone - no that's absolutely fine. I'm alone when I travel......alone. It's the thought of all those built-up connections and feelings towards another person fading away in a flash. I can live for hundreds of years so humans tend to come and go. Always leaving me heartbroken in the end.
Along with fears there are darker traits. I know that I can certainly have a darker side when I'm angry. I don't get snappy as such but I get confident and will use my name and it's reputation to make sure that whomever is opposing me is afraid. Especially if it's the Daleks. They are one of the few who I will never give second chances to. Along with them are the Cybermen. The Daleks and the Cybermen can't be reasoned with. I try not to but I can end up manipulating people - even my closest companions.
Amy and Rory Pond (always Pond no matter what Rory says) are the two companions that I feel closest to - at least with this face. Amy was the first face that this face saw, so she always holds a special place in my heart. Since I can and do act like a child, she has to 'watch over' me to make sure I don't pull myself into too much trouble. Although trouble seems to go wherever I do.
I'm naturally curious. I love to take a peek at all kind of things. Two of the ones that have gotten me into the most trouble is the Time Cracks and Clara. I actually snapped at Clara because I got annoyed about her being impossible and I couldn't wrap my head around it despite my Time Traveling antics.
Speaking of companions, I easily become protective of them and will try to do everything in my power to keep them safe. That may well be my fear of losing people taking over my actions, but I never want to see any of them hurt. That's why I tore myself apart about losing the Ponds.

History
Parents: This is where things get complicated. See I don't remember who my birth parents were and I don't think I ever will. But through marriage and complicated time anomelies Amy and Rory Pond ended up as my Step Mother and Father. How's that for things eh? | Siblings: None that I can think of off the top of my head but I've been wrong before. I don't like admitting it but it happens to the best. |
Others: I'm currently traveling around with Clara Oswald which falls into 'others'. Through more complicated circumstances I also have a wife - River Song. Don't ask me how that happened because I'm not entirely sure. | Pet: Do my companions count? No. Didn't think so. |
It's comforting when the first thing this face does is attempt to land a crashing TARDIS. That last regeneration caused the TARDIS to start breaking down and meant that I had to try and land whilst still partially regenerating. Not fun. Anyway, when the TARDIS finally crashed on Earth it took me a while to find my way out. When I did the TARDIS was on it's side and I had to haul myself out. I was soaking wet and the first thing I saw was a small human girl staring at the TARDIS. I suddenly had a craving for apples so she invited me inside and gave me an apple. Spat it out and asked for yogurt. Just as bad. Then asked for porridge and it didn't get any better. Then I finally found myself a decent meal and fish fingers in custard was my new favorite food. I don't understand why you humans don't eat it - it's delicious. Turns out her name was Amelia. Well, Amelia then asked me to investigate the crack in her wall under the assumption that I was sent by Santa. Santa isn't what humans think he is - believe me. I've met the guy. Anyway, before I finished my TARDIS key started glowing so I ran back to the TARDIS. Then I offered for her to come with me and she ran to pack then I took off after saying to wait for me. Instead of coming back in five minutes, I was off by twelve years. Boy did she never let me forget it.
I had many adventures with Pond. It wasn't long before Pond became Ponds when Rory joined out traveling gang. I love my gangs. I can remember the one time I had a proper gang with this face was when I took the three Ponds (yes, there were three. Rory's father apparently) to a spaceship filled with dinosaurs. I had a gang because we had a group of six including me. I'll never forget that.
Anyway, eventually I had to part with the Ponds during an adventure in Manhattan gone wrong. They always go wrong. It's part of the job. Anyway we found someone named 'Melody Malone' who actually turned out to be River Song - the wife I mentioned earlier (long story. Not enough time to tell it.) The Ponds were eventually brought back to their own time only to be thrown back in time by the Weeping Angles. Good old Ponds. I'll never forget them.
After that I went to the Victorian era and locked myself away in the TARDIS. On a cloud. I had stopped saving worlds and the Earth - you humans always find a way to survive anyway. Then a Victorian nanny found her way up. I thought I recognized her and I did - it was soufflé girl. Another long story. I have a lot of those. Anyway, she died just before Christmas day thanks to the Great Intelligence and and frozen Ice Lady. I ran off and tried searching for her - which led me to Clara Oswald.
I met Clara in London 2013. People were being sealed in the internet so we dealt with that and she started tagging along for my adventures. We had a lot of those. At least until we came to a town called Christmas. You could only speak the truth (so naturally the entire town knew I was a Time Lord from Gallifrey traveling in a Time Machine) but they were in danger. Mainly from many of my enemies. Now the reason we came here was because of a distress signal of sorts. Unfortunately all kinds of other aliens - Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angles - also found the signal and tracked it. In the end I sent Clara back to her time because it was too dangerous and found a crack - just like the one in Amy's bedroom - calling out. Asking for me. More specifically, my name. It was the Time Lords trying to return to this world (why? Yet another long story). Thanks to Clara, that crack appeared about the skies of Christmas and gave me another chance - I though this would be my last regeneration see. I was old since it had been decades for me since I first arrived at Christmas. After the Daleks were gone, I returned to the TARDIS along with Clara and had to explain about the process of regeneration. I thought I would change my face. So when the light exploded and regeneration energy flew through the TARDIS, you can imagine my surprise when my face was exactly the same. Apparently the Eleventh Hour isn't over yet.

Other Characters?: n/a | Anything Else: Goodbyes have always been difficult for me. Oh they're inevitable as a time traveler who changes his face but that doesn't make them any easier. |
Here he was once again. How many times had he been in this area? Far too many most likely. He was a wanderer, a traveler. Yet he seemed to spend much of his time on Earth, modern day London. One day he was going to fix that. But for the time being The Doctor would stay where he was - sitting on a chair near the TARDIS core reading his book on quantum physics. Unusual book considering he traveled in a Time Machine but intriguing none the less.
When the phone outside began ringing The Doctor's face showed that he was obviously confused. He didn't just 'give out' his number to any old chap. If he was going to give out the number, it would be to someone for a specific reason. Mostly. Well alright sometimes. Putting down his book, The Doctor walked over the the TARDIS entrance and stuck his head out the door as he reached for the phone.
"Hello. This is the Doctor speaking."
After a few minutes, The Doctor's face lit up. Seemed like trouble had followed him again. He dropped the phone and ran straight to the TARDIS console without bothering to put the phone back properly. The TARDIS then came alive as The Doctor began running circles around the core pressing every manner of buttons and leavers, his grin never leaving his face.
"What have you got for me this time?"
Then he flipped the largest switch and made sure it had a dramatic flare.
