To the average individual, Tobias holds the appears of a youthful human and for the most part this is not an illusion. A fair amount of his appearance is based off of his original appearance. He is slight and rather thin for someone his age. Moreover, there is a clear beauty to his appearance.

Yet, a fair amount of his appearance is a lie.

Tobias lacks many of the blemishes and signs of age that he should possess. Moreover, it becomes quite clear the longer that someone is around him that there is something quite off about him. His eyecolour might be blue, but it is incredibly artificial and he is capable of changing it to another if the desire struck him. While his hair appears to be real, it feels different due to how artificial it is. In fact, most of everything about Tobias is artificial. Many of his organs and body parts have long been replaced. There is little about him that is, biologically, human any longer.

Despite his distinctly inhuman construction, Tobias contradicts this with his personality. Almost everything about him is incredibly human. Instead of being a purely logical being, he relies far more upon his emotions. He lacks a great amount of ambition, preferring to spend most of his time procrastinating and lazing about. The time that he does spend doing something is normally spent indulging in fantasy as well as he can. He possesses a love for the 21st century, viewing his own time as quite backwards. As a result, he enjoys indulging in literature, if it can be called that, meant for people far younger than himself and daydreaming.

Yet, it is often clear that Tobias does not quite belong. He is normally out of touch in regards to most things that might be considered normal to others. Moreover, he undeniably comes off as peculiar as he certainly appears to be searching for a job but never finds a solution. In reality, he is not looking and is merely using lying and illegal means to get his way through life.

There is also a darker part to him. While his temper rarely shows, Tobias is not someone one would wish to make angry. His nonchalant manner is something that would be replaced with a cold and cruel demeanour. Moreover, one might realize that his morals are a bit more questionable than they appear to be.

In the beginning, Tobias was the same as any other human. He had a particularly ordinary life. Unlike other individuals, his parents did not wish to become involved with the politics of the world- or so he had always been led to believe. In reality, his parents were people with many enemies. Just like many others, they attempted to protect the Earth against aliens and just like so many others they were people who did not know quite where to draw the line.

As a result, it was inevitable that they would one day make a mistake just a bit too grievous. Stepping across a line they should not have, his parents accidentally allowed the wrong information to fall into the wrong hands. I(t might have been fortunate that it had not fallen into the hands of aliens had it not been their son who paid the price.

His name was Doctor Ardent and he sought to create the perfect man. He believed that in his most natural form humans were imperfect. However, this was something that could be changed through science and the discovery of the information merely confirmed, as he saw it, his beliefs. The monster was, in many ways, within. As a result, he was able to access the technology he needed. The Hardwicks had been individuals had been people he had not liked for many years. An accident was easy to arrange and it was even easier to take their child.

It took many years and Tobias- nay, he was RA-A2 now- grew older. Finally, they grew closer to success. However, it was by the work of his own assistant that everything went wrong. RA-A2 had to stay unconscious for everything lest the entire project go wrong. Whether by accident or on purpose, his assistant had managed to awake the young man. The doctor was not sure what to expect. They had not finished the operation, so he knew that the young man would not be emotionless. However, what would he be like?

He did not expect the worst.

In a fury of anger, Tobias began to kill anyone near him, caught up within his emotions. As a result, one of the doctors involved, in an attempt to get rid of Tobias, managed to get a faulty vortex manipulator on him that broke when he got to the 21st Century. Stuck there, the now cyborg found himself forced to blend in with the humans of the past- a difficult task that he had no will to do and still has none to do. As a result, he has come to live in London and act as a particularly odd individual.

Tobias had taken to sitting in the library. He sat directly by the window, scrunched up in a beanbag with a long forgotten book in his lap. An almost dazed expression was on his face as he stared out the window, overly focused on the rain as it flickered against the glass. Thump, thump, thump. He held out a hand, artificial flesh touching the glass.

Almost immediately, a rather grim look crossed his face. Sighing, he tore his gaze away and clambered up to his feet. As the book fell out of his lap, he seemed to have finally noticed it. Staring at it for a moment, he groaned. "Too much work." Dismissing the object, he left it before wandering off. Perhaps he might go off to the archives. No one was ever there. It would be a wonderful place to merely daydream.

A large grin crossed his face at the idea and he immediately made his way for the elevator. Archives it was!
